lexander Jung is introverted and quiet; the boy doesn’t speak much. He refuses to let people in into his life, having grown up alone as an orphan. His parents had abandoned him at a muggle orphanage located in Manchester when he was just a baby. They didn’t even bother to name him, hence the orphanage let him to be nameless, only calling him the ‘asian boy’. It was until he was adopted by an influential British-Korean wizarding family that had been searching for an intelligent male to become the heir of their company that he was named. He earned the name ‘Alexander’ - meaning ‘protector of men’ after having saved the orphanage from burning down when they visited the orphans. Once adopted, the family decided to also give him a Korean name, and thus he was named ‘Daehyun’.

His adoptive parents had not realised Daehyun was a wizard until they saw him performing magic for simple house chores, which led to them enrolling the male into Hogwarts in his sixth year. Due to the lack of information provided by his biological parents, the boy does not know what his blood status really is, what his surname actually is and whether he has any other siblings.

People often get offended by his cold attitude, assuming that he was a rich stuck up brat who thought he was better than others. It is actually the opposite - Daehyun has quite a low self-esteem as he kept on comparing himself to others in the orphanage. He views the world in a pessimistic light, thinking that he doesn’t deserve to be alive as he has no reason to live for. He doesn’t like making friends as he’s afraid that one day they’ll leave him like how his parents left him long ago. So to sum it all up, he’s a lone wolf. He works alone and prefers it that way.
